Federal 209A Shotshell Primers 1000
For standard 1-1/8 oz loads, the primer energy makes a pretty big difference in the peak pressure. You need to follow a load manual’s instructions (whether print or online) closely. When you get down to low weight loads (3/4 oz in 12 gauge) you will want the hottest primer available because low pressure is your enemy and 3/4 oz 12 gauge loads are notoriously low pressure.

Load for your components with different primers though you may have to adjust your powder charge or accept a slower or faster load than what you would get using the Winchester primer.
